SALES:
Pricing is posted on all available horses. We always consider offers from prospective buyers on a horse unless a price is specifically noted as "firm".
DRH weans foals at approximately 5 months of age although actual weaning age may vary depending on the mare, the foal and our ability to wean foals in groups or pairs. We will wean as early as 4 months if requested by the buyer of the foal.
Horses are sold “as is" at the time of the sale. We are not responsible for costs of illness, injuries, or other health issues that may arise after a horse is sold. Please ask questions when buying any horse. We will never hide any known issues or vices about our horses because we want our clients to be satisfied with their new partner. Our goal is to find the best possible home for our horses. When selling saddle broke horses, we do not allow potential buyers to ride our stock, for insurance liability reasons, but we will happily ride them for you.
DRH may consider a buy-back on any horse we previously owned if the current owner determines the horse is not what he/she was looking for in his/her next equine partner. Please don't hesitate to ask. At the very least, we will help you advertise to find it a different home.

DEPOSIT and PAYMENT POLICY:
We will accept a nonrefundable deposit to hold a horse, for horses sold on a payment plan, and on in-utero/unweaned foals. The deposit is 25% of the purchase price or $1,000, whichever is greater. Deposits and payments are applied to accrued board (see below), unreimbursed expenses, and fees first.
All horses will stay at DRH until payment in full, including any applicable board, unreimbursed expenses, and fees have been received. WHEN FINAL PAYMENT OF BALANCE DUE COMES AT THE TIME OF TRANSFER OF POSSESSION, PLEASE CHECK WITH US FOR ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT. This is non-negotiable and arriving to transport the horse without the correct form of payment MAY result in our declining to complete the sale or withholding registration papers until payment has cleared. We will not release any horse for transport within fourteen (14) days of depositing a check. Plan accordingly!
There is a minimum $20 per transaction office fee for all credit card and bank wire transactions. PayPal is accepted but only payments via PayPal-Friends&Family.
In the event a horse is being purchased on a payment plan and the buyer notifies DRH that they cannot complete the transaction, all payments received to date will be forfeited by the buyer. Refunds or partial refunds may be issued at DRH discretion only.
