Admittedly, Sasha was purchased primarily due to her grulla color near the onset of our breeding program. As a result her pedigree doesn't pack quite the power in terms of show-proven horses within two generations as our other broodmares. She is a granddaughter of the AQHA stallion Blue Yahooty Hancock, sire of AQHA point-earners prior to his untimely death. She also has several proven/producing AQHA horses just off of her papers in Blue Valentine, White Mount, Boston Pete, Poco Bright Star and Red Sonny Dee.

She has "proven" herself to us in other ways as well. This mare is the complete package possessing disposition, conformation with a stout build, extremely smart, and a very talented mare under saddle. We truly believe we under-utilize her potential as just a part-time trail horse.

UPDATE April 2018: I've been hesitating to do this but Sasha DOES hold "keeper" status. She's got the color, conformation, build, and an exceptional mind. All that backed by a solid pedigree, she throws exceptional foals AND she rides. "Farm Favorite" right here and we would love nothing more than to get a few fillies from her to retain and carry our program into the future.
